Training “Create against hate”

Atmosphere from the training “Create against hate”.

Hate Fighters Network in cooperation with its partners organizes a training for young people from Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Greece, Croatia, North Macedonia and Lithuania in the period from 07.08.2022 – 14.08.2022 in Nis, Serbia. Hate Fighters Network would like to increase the skills and knowledge of young people coming from 8 countries to combat hate speech online and offline and promote intercultural dialogue through use of the creative methods. Participants will discuss the problem of hate speech, what is it and how to combat it. Moreover, they will discuss how their creative potentials can be used to fight hate speech and discrimination and they will develop concrete creative educational tools – concept photos and concept videos that promote intercultural dialogue and combat against hate speech and discrimination. Project is supported by European Youth Foundation, Council of Europe.

The “EU Youth Zone” game is an educational game for young people. Through the game, players have a chance to learn more about different segments of the European Union, such as history, culture, youth, education, health, fun facts, and many more. It can be used not only individually, but also as a part of youth exchanges, training courses, in schools, and similar when working with young people.

Activities implemented in Serbia, Italy, Greece, Albania, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia. Project is implemented with the support of the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union.

Oppinion of young people on EU and recomendations

The research is based on the attitudes and opinions of young people collected through an online questionnaire which was created by the experts from partner organizations. Main purpose of this research was to examine the opinion of young people in regard to the 10 fields in which European Union is active and to define set of recommendations for improvement of the position of youth in these areas.

Power To Change | Final Conference

Final conference of the project Power To Change was organised in January 2022. in Nis, Serbia. Project “Power to Change” is implemented by Hate Fighters Network from Serbia in cooperation with Udruga Impress Daruvar from Croatia, IDA Network from Bulgaria, Organisation for Strategic Development in Africa (OSDA) from Ghana, Beyond Borders from Italy, SPPMD from North Macedonia, Círculo Raíces Sardas from Argentina and Hellenic Youth Participation (HYP) from Greece . Hate Fighters Network would like to increase the skills and knowledge of the youth workers of consortium organizations at two levels: the use of different creative methods in youth work and the use of counter and alternative narratives as a tool to combat hate speech in the work with young people. Main aim: To increase the number of peace-building and combat against hate speech activities in Europe, Latin America and Africa and develop a pool of youth workers competent in this field. Project includes series of mobility activities and capacity building activities. HFN Work Plan 2021 | Final Conference

Final conference of the project HFN Work Plan 2021 was organised in December 2021. in Corato, Italy. Hate Fighters Network (HNF) implements HFN Work Plan 2021 in cooperation with Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) – Serbia, Red Cross Novo Sarajevo – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Beyond Borders – Italy, SPPMD – North Macedonia, Perspektiva – Albania, Hellenic Youth Participation – Greece, Impress – Croatia and Youth Work Association – Turkey. Main aim of HFN Work Plan 2021 is to strengthen the role of young people in peace-building activities and combat against fake news and hate speech in media. 3 main activities of HFN Work Plan 2021 are: 1) Training for “Counter and Alternative narratives as a respond to Fake News and Hate Speech in media”, 2) Local trainings and We Can campaign and 3) HFN 2021 – final conference. Project will increase the competences of young people in the use of counter and alternative narratives to combat fake news and hate speech through methodology of We Can! Manual and creation of the creative tools as counter narratives.
