As part of the Erasmus+ Sport project “Connecting Cultures, Building Future – Empowerment of Roma through Sport,” project partners have developed a manual titled “Methodologies for Integration of Roma Children and Youth through Football and Basketball.”

The manual was developed by experts from partner organisations based on findings from focus groups conducted in participating countries. It provides practical guidelines for coaches, facilitators and youth workers on using football and basketball as tools for social inclusion, intercultural dialogue and integration of Roma and non-Roma children and youth.

The publication includes inclusive sports exercises, team-building activities, cultural exchange methods and strategies for conflict resolution and preventing discrimination. Special attention is given to creating safe and respectful environments, promoting teamwork and encouraging the participation of Roma girls in sports activities.

The manual is available in seven languages: English, Serbian, Romanian, Czech, Slovenian, Macedonian and Romani. All language versions are available as PDF documents, which can be downloaded free of charge and freely used by coaches, youth workers, teachers, sports clubs and organisations interested in promoting inclusion through sport.
