From 28 July to 1 August 2026, Niš, Serbia, hosted an international training for the pilot testing of the Guidelines. The event gathered 20 coaches, youth workers, facilitators, and representatives of sports clubs and organizations working with Roma youth from five partner countries.
Through practical activities, workshops, and discussions, participants tested the developed methodologies and shared feedback to improve the Guidelines before their local implementation. Watch the aftermovie and discover some of the key moments from this inspiring international experience.
Drustvo Roma "Prokuplje" – Serbia, together with its partners Hate Fighters Network (HFN) – Srbija, Asociatia Tineret pentru Dezvoltare Durabila – Romania, Educator – Czech Republic, Roma Informational Center (RIC) – Slovenija i Roma Entrepreneurship Development REDI - Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative – North Macedonia, implements project “Connecting Cultures, Building Future - Empowerment of Roma through Sport” in order to address discrimination and segregation of young Roma people in participating countries. Project would like to develop innovative methodologies for integration for Roma children and youth, promote social inclusion through joint sports activities between Roma and non-Roma children and youth, facilitate intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding between Roma and non-Roma children and youth, engage families, coaches and teachers in intercultural networking and create opportunities for international networking and exchange. Activities will be organized in the period of 24 months (November 2025 – October 2027) in Serbia, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovenia and North Macedonia.
